PRINCIPLES IN ACTION
01
BODY
Be Active.
Taking time to look after our body is crucial for our wellbeing. How you treat your body has an effect on your mind. The relationship between the body and mind is very real. Regular exercise, hydration and a healthy diet, alongside good sleep are all ways in which we can maintain a healthy body which are all key parts of self-care.

02
MIND
Keep Learning.
Our mind likes to keep active, weather that be improving a skill or challenging ourselves to learn something new. Studies have shown that those who stimulate the mind with skills, hobbies and challenges are some of the happiest and healthiest people around.

03
SPIRIT
Be Giving.
Our mind likes to keep active, weather that be improving a skill or challenging ourselves to learn something new. Studies have shown that those who stimulate the mind with skills, hobbies and challenges are some of the happiest and healthiest people around.

04
PEOPLE
Connect.
The power of connection has been proven over and over to help prolong life by up to seven years! Positive relationships with family and friends help improve mood, decreases anxiety and depression. Strong ties with family and friends provide us with happiness, security, support and a sense of purpose. Meeting new people and creating new networks are also beneficial and help improve our communities, including our work community.

05
PLACE
Take Notice.
Taking time to be in the moment and be mindful of our surroundings is key to our wellbeing. Having gratitude of the things around us, taking time out in nature to appreciate our environment, and generally slowing life right down can help us find peace and improve our health. Doing things to improve our environments can also help improve our mental health and wellbeing.
